Meet the Judges


We are delighted to announce the judges in this year's Tsingtao Legacy of Taste search to find Britain's favourite Chinese restaurant. The esteem judging panel visited all three finalists and were treated to a memorable dining experience. The winners will be announced towards the end of January 2013.

Bernard Yeoh

Bernard Yeoh

Bernard is owner and manager of Kai Mayfair. Kai is among the most decorated restaurants from the Legacy of Taste campaign. Kai boasts a Michelin Star in addition to a raft of local awards.

With titles such as best restaurant in London's Critic's Choice and a finalist in Tatler's Best Kitchen Guide, Bernard has truly taken his restaurant and Chinese cuisine to another level. Kai were the Legacy of Taste overall winner from 2011.

James Wright

James Wright

James Wright is Marketing Controller at Halewood International Ltd and this is his fifth year as a Legacy of Taste judge.

James joined the drinks industry working for Redbull, dealing with big brand names such as Sol, Tiger, Lamb's Navy Rum and Pilsner Urquell. James also worked in Northern Europe for Grupo Modelo Brewery, currently the sixth largest brewer worldwide responsible for Corona Extra.
