The Search

Welcome to the 2012 Tsingtao Legacy of Taste, the search for Britain's favourite Chinese restaurant. For the 5th successive year Tsingtao Beer is setting out to discover the very best Chinese dining experiences in Great Britain.

This year we have new additions to our judging panel, Harry Yeung, owner and head chef of the three times finalist and 2008 Legacy of Taste winner Yang Sing, Manchester. Harry is a long-standing restaurant entrepreneur with an empire that is firmly established as part of Manchester's culinary landscape. Joining Harry is Bernard Yeoh, the owner and host of Kai Mayfair. This Michelin Star awarded restaurant was last years winner and sets a very high standard for this years entrants to match.

Along with the crown of being Britain's favourite Chinese restaurant, this year the competition has added new categories. Legacy of Taste 2012 includes regional favourites, best take home occasion, best local and best fine dining restaurant as well as the traditional favourite UK Chinese restaurant.

The esteemed panel of judges have finished their tour of the finalists restaurants. The winners will be announced towards the end of January 2013.
